IMAGE RECORDING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means by which the presence or absence of a recording medium on a conveyance passage is detected, and a moved position of a guide member moved in a device body is determined by using a single optical sensor in an image recording device. SOLUTION: A slide guide 34 is disposed in an upper part of a main tray 20, and two projections 37 and 38 are vertically disposed on the slide guide. In the progress of the movement of the slide guide, the projections 37 and 38 abut against a rotation arm 55, thereby rotating a rotation plate 57. Depending on a pulse wave generated at that time, a control section 130 determines the presence or absence of the slide guide or the position thereof. The rotation plate is rotated by recording paper pushing an arm intersecting with individual conveyance passages. Based on an output signal whose level is changed at that occasion, the control section 130 determines the presence or absence of the recording paper. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
