PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resolution enhancement device which performs resolution enhancement processing by increasing the number of corresponding points while suppressing a cumulative increase in computational complexity. SOLUTION: A resolution enhancement part 12 includes: a candidate designation part 102 which successively sets a pixel one-by-one at a point of interest A from a plurality of pixels in one image; a matching error calculation part 103 or the like which extracts a corresponding point B corresponding to the pixel at the point of interest, from a corresponding block having a pixel value change pattern identical or similar to a change pattern of pixel values included in a target block P including the pixel at the point of interest A; a corresponding point increasing part 109 which generates a new corresponding point C in a section of a segment linearly connecting the point of interest A and the corresponding point B; and a high-resolution pixel value calculation part 106 which calculates pixel values of a high resolution image from the point of interest A, the corresponding point B, and the new corresponding point C.
