SHEET FEEDER AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder capable of consistently sucking and conveying sheets, and an image forming device. SOLUTION: A suction pipe 81 communicating with the inside of a duct is hung movably in the vertical direction at each side of a suction and conveyance belt 86 at a bottom surface 82a of the duct 82 with the suction and conveyance belt 86 having a plurality of small holes 86H wound around the surface, and air is sucked by a suction fan 85 connected to the duct 82 through the suction pipe 81 and the small holes 86H of the suction and conveyance belt 86. Before the suction fan 85 is operated, the hanged suction pipe 81 is brought into contact with a sheet P1 supported by a tray 8, and when the suction fan 85 is operated, the suction pipe 81 is elevated with the sheet P1 sucked to the suction pipe 81 by the air sucked by the suction fan 85, and the sheet P1 sucked by the suction pipe 81 is sucked by the suction and conveyance belt 86 by the air sucked by the suction fan 85.
