VEHICLE BODY STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb collision energy by bending a skeleton member in a specified direction during a vehicle collision. SOLUTION: This vehicle body structure 10 includes an inner channel 30 formed into a U-shape in cross section, a side rail 40 formed into a U-shape in cross section, arranged together with the inner channel 30 so that mutual opening parts may be faced to each other and constituting a side member 20 together with the inner channel 30, and a reinforcement 50 formed into a U-shape in cross section and connected to the inner channel 30. A free end 51A of one opposed reinforcing wall part 51 formed in the reinforcement 50 is butted against a free end 41A of one second opposed wall part 41 formed in the side rail 40. A partial free end 59A of the longitudinal direction of the other opposed reinforcing wall part 52 is located closer to a connection reinforcing wall part 53 side and the one opposed reinforcing wall part 51 side than a free end 42A of the other second opposed wall part 42.
