WASHING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine having a support capable of suitably protecting an optical sensor for detecting the state of washing liquid for washing laundry. SOLUTION: The washing machine includes: a wall part forming a space to be filled with the washing liquid; the optical sensor provided with a light emitting element which emits light into the space and is positioned outside the space and a light receiving element which receives the light and is positioned outside the space; and the support including a first support part for supporting the light emitting element, a second support part for supporting the light receiving element, and a bridging part connected to the first support part and the second support part so as to support the light emitting element and the light receiving element at positions facing each other.
