Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video encoding/decoding apparatus and method for color videos. SOLUTION: A first motion prediction part 100 calculates a first prediction residue video for an input video on the basis of a first motion prediction result of the input video. An video information detection part 110 sets a prescribed color component among color components of an R-G-B video to a reference color component and grasps whether the input video is a Y-Cb-Cr video or an R-G-B video and whether a color component of the input video is the reference color component. A second motion prediction part 120 performs motion prediction for the first prediction residue video and calculates a second prediction residue video, on the basis of the reference color component, if the input video is the R-G-B video and if the color component of the input video is not the reference color component, thereby performing optimal encoding/decoding according to the color information.
