Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently disperse added desulfurizing agent in molten iron by optimizing the eccentric amount of an impeller, and simultaneously optimizing the additional position of the desulfurizing agent according to disorder of a rotational stream of the molten iron in order to minimize the load of a motor torque caused by the eccentricity while securing the sufficient forcible direction in the rotational stream, when the molten iron is desulfurized while causing the forcible disorder to the rotational stream of the molten iron by making the impeller into an eccentric state. SOLUTION: In the case of desulfurizing the molten iron by immersing the impeller 4 into the molten iron 3 stored into a refining vessel 2, rotating the impeller 4 into the molten iron while making the rotational shaft 4a thereof into almost vertical state, and stirring the desulfurizing agent 7 on the molten iron and the molten iron, when the inner diameter of the refining vessel is defined as D, the rotational shaft is made eccentric to the center of the refining vessel within
