VEHICLE WASHING DEVICE AND METHOD OF WASHING VEHICLE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle washing device of new structure capable of effectively and safely washing a wheel installed region, preventing looseness and a fall due to drive of arm members, and to provide a method of washing a vehicle using this device. SOLUTION: In a vehicle washing device 10 for washing a region, wherein a wheel 13 is installed, includes: (i) a nozzle provided in the tip part of each of a pair of arm members formed possible to be inserted in the cross direction of a vehicle 12 on both sides in the back and forth direction of a wheel 13 so that washing water can be supplied to the nozzle from a water supply means; (ii) a relative movement allowing means for allowing relative approach/separation of the arm members respectively supported by a support means, and an energizing means for energizing the arm members in directions for approaching each other; (iii) a vertically driving means for driving the arm members in the vertical direction in the state of abutting on the outer peripheral surface of the wheel 13 to displace the arm members along the outer peripheral surface of the wheel 13.
