METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ANNULAR TREAD MEMBER FOR RETREADED TIRES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an annular tread member for a retreaded tire enabling the manufacture of annular tread members of various dimensions in a vulcanization mold with a small number of parts compared with conventional ones. SOLUTION: An unvulcanized rubber member 1 formed in band shape is clamped between vulcanization molding molds 2, 3 shorter in length than the rubber member from the sticking surface 1a side to a base tire and the tread surface 1b side excluding both longitudinal ends. The rubber member 1 is then heated and vulcanized in the vulcanization molding molds 2, 3, and a vulcanized band-like rubber member 1 is removed from the vulcanization molding molds 2, 3. Both longitudinal ends of the rubber member 1 are allowed to abut each other to form annular shape. In this state, the rubber member 1 is clamped from the sticking surface 1a side to the base tire and the tread face 1b side by vulcanization joining molds 4, 5, and the rubber member 1 is heated and vulcanized in the vulcanization joining molds 4, 5 to vulcanization-join both ends, thus obtaining the vulcanized annular tread member.
