Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for selectively erasing or forming an image by only one passing, through the image forming apparatus, of an erasable medium having a formed image and an erasable medium having no formed image. SOLUTION: This erasable medium image forming apparatus includes an input section for supplying, to the image forming apparatus, the erasable medium including at least one of the erasable medium having a formed image and the erasable medium having no formed image, an erasing subsystem for erasing the erasable medium having the formed image, a write-in subsystem for forming an image in the erasable medium having no formed image, in which the erasing is separated from image forming of the erasable medium, and a user interface that is constituted so as to allow selection of one of write-in dedicated mode and erasing dedicated mode and is used for constituting the image forming apparatus.
