IMAGE MEASURING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image measurement machine capable of detecting a suitable focus position by executing autofocus processing. SOLUTION: The image measurement machine 1 includes: a strobe illuminating device 21; a camera 22; a movement mechanism 23 and a control device 3. The control device 3 includes a focus position detection means 4 for detecting the focus position of the camera 22, by controlling the movement mechanism 23 to move a position of the camera 22 along an optical axis direction of the camera 22 at prescribed speed, and imaging an object to be measured with the camera 22 at a plurality of positions. The focus position detection means 4 includes: an illumination control means 41 for controlling the brightness of illumination, by controlling the lighting time of the strobe illumination device 21; a relative position obtaining part 42 for obtaining the position of the camera 22 at the center time of the lighting time; and a contrast detection part 43 for detecting the contrasts of the images imaged picked up by the camera 22.
