Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for easily starting an engine, by promoting vaporization of fuel. SOLUTION: In a cycle just before an initial explosion in a cylinder for cranking an internal combustion engine: the cylinder closes an intake valve by an intake valve variable valve train in the timing of an intake stroke (S108); the fuel is injected into the cylinder by a fuel injection means (S109); ignition by an ignition means into the cylinder is prohibited; the cylinder maintains an exhaust valve in a valve closing state by an exhaust valve variable valve train in the timing of an exhaust stroke (S110); and in an initial explosion cycle in the cylinder, fuel injection from the fuel injection means into the cylinder is prohibited.
