Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions and methods for treating disorders of an outer retina caused by acute or chronic ocular degenerative conditions or degenerative affections. SOLUTION: There are disclosed compositions and methods for treating disorders of the outer retina using compounds with 5-HT1Aagonist activity. The invention relates to 5-HT1Aagonist useful for treating disorders of the outer retina, particularly for: AMD;RP and other forms of heredodegenerative retinal diseases; retinal detachment and tears; macular pucker; ischemia affecting the outer retina; diabetic retinopathy; damage associated with laser therapy (grid, focal and panretinal) including photodynamic therapy (PDT); trauma; surgical (retinal translocation, subretinal surgery or vitrectomy) or light-induced retinopathy; and preservation of retinal transplants.
