Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knock type mechanical pencil in which a sliding piece 6 is moved back and forth by turning the rear shaft 7, and stepless adjustment of compressive load of the cushion spring 11 is possible. SOLUTION: The rear shaft 7 is connected to the front shaft 10 in a turnable manner. Thereafter the sliding piece 6 is embedded in the rear shaft 7 in a manner slidable to the longitudinal direction and also in an unturnable manner. Furthermore, the protrusion 6B of the sliding piece 6 is engaged with the spiral groove 10A of the front shaft 10, and the cushion spring 11 is attached between the connection piece 4 and the sliding piece 6.
