Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out rough machining and finish machining without transferring a workpiece by a single grinding apparatus. SOLUTION: At a rotary shaft 22 constituting a head 20 of a rotating drive device, a first rotary grindstone 24 is arranged at a tip side and a second rotary grindstone 25 is arranged at a base end side. The grindstone 24a of the first rotary grindstone 24 is formed of relatively rough abrasive grains and the grindstone 25a of the second rotary grindstone 25 is formed of minute abrasive grains. The first rotary grindstone 24 has a small diameter and the second rotary grindstone 25 has a large diameter. The workpiece 1 is mounted on a rotary table 10. The rotary table 10 and the head 20 are relatively moved, so that the rough machining by the first rotary grindstone 24 and the finish machining by the second rotary grindstone 25 are applied to the surface 1a of the workpiece 1.
