MEDICAL OBSERVATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical observation system preferable for restraining heating at the tip of an electronic scope in the process of preparation for diagnosis or the like. SOLUTION: This medical observation system includes: a lighting means for radiating illuminating light; the electronic scope for guiding the radiated illuminating light to illuminate an object and pick up an image of the object; an illuminating light quantity control means controlling the quantity of illuminating light of the lighting means based on a picked-up image; a support means for supporting the electronic scope; a support detecting means for detecting the support of the electronic scope by the support means; and an illuminating light quantity limit means for suspending the control over the quantity of illuminating light of the illuminating light quantity control means to limit the quantity of illuminating light to a predetermined quantity of light.
