DISPLAY DEVICE FOR VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a vehicle and a method for assembling the same which enable assembly of members combined mutually without reversing them, while maintaining fine appearance. SOLUTION: A meter 1 as the display device for the vehicle includes a case 5, a facing plate and a dial 4, which are disposed in superposition on the front side of the case 5; a back cover 9 which is disposed in superposition on the back side of the case 5; and a screw 12 which fixes the case 5 and the back cover 9 to each other. A bottomed tubular-screw holding part 54, which is opened at one end 54a near the front side and closed at the other end 54b near the back side by a bottom wall 541, is provided at a portion in the case 5 where the case overlaps a light-intercepting region 41 of the dial 4, while a tapped hole 542 piercing the bottom wall 541 is provided in the bottom wall 541 of the screw holding part 54. The back cover 9 is provided with a screw-accepting part 95 whereon the bottom wall 541 of the screw-holding part 54 is superposed, wherein the screw 12 inserted through the tapped hole 542 from inside the screw holding part 54 is screwed.
