Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the degradation of print quality resulting from the effect of crosstalk in a shear mode inkjet head by simple voltage control. SOLUTION: When at least one of two adjacent ink chambers 6A1 and 6A3 in the same group as the ink chamber 6A2 which is not driven to eject ink is driven to eject ink, a dummy pulse is applied to the electrode 11A2 of the ink chamber 6A2 which is not driven to eject ink after the ending application of an ejection driving pulse to the ink chamber which is driven to eject ink, thereby reducing the volume of the ink chamber 6A2 which is not driven to eject ink. The dummy pulse has a voltage substantially equal to the voltage of the ejection driving pulse being applied to the ink chamber which is driven to eject ink, and an application time shorter than that of the ejection driving pulse.
