METHOD FOR INDUCING MASCULINIZATION OF GONAD OF FISHES BY STRESS-INDUCED STIMULATION

Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a stress to a tiger puffer in a sex differentiating stage by action of a food, to increase an endogenous cortisol through a transient receptor potential, to suppress Fox12 gene expression, to further suppress expression of an aromatase gene, to reduce production of an endogenous estrogen, and to induce the masculinization of a gonad at a high rate. SOLUTION: Stress-induced stimulation is applied to a fish until sex of the fish is determined from an egg. Thereby, the masculinization of the gonad is induced at a high rate.
