CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector detecting the fitted state of a pair of housings and suppressing size enlargement. SOLUTION: The connector 1 includes a pair of housings 3, 5 to be fitted to each other, a detection member 7 mounted to the housing 3 to detect the fitted state of the pair of housings 3, 5, a retainer 9 provided in the female housing 3 and forming space to retain the detection member 7, a lock part 13 provided on the detection member 7 to engage with a locking projection 11 protruding into the retainer 9 to cause the detection member 7 to be locked to the female housing 3, and an unlocking means 15 provided on the other housing 5 and the detection member 7 to unlock the detection member 7 from the female housing 3 by disengaging the locking projection 11 and the lock part 13 from each other with the pair of housings 3, 5 normally fitted to each other.
