Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for electrostatic latent image development which is highly safety for the environment and can be produced inexpensively, and which nonetheless has improved adhesiveness between a coating layer and a core material and is less apt to cause degradation in the image quality accompanying toner spent and film chipping in the coating layer, even when a developer is agitated over a long period of time, and to provide a two-component developer and an image forming method that uses the carrier. SOLUTION: The carrier for a dry two-component developer is a carrier having a core material and a coating layer formed on the surface of the core material and is such that: the coating layer is formed by using a composite resin containing a polysiloxane segment and a segment produced by radical polymerization; and the composite resin is obtained by radical emulsion polymerization of, in the presence of (A) a partial condensate of organosilane, (B) a radical polymerizable monomer and (C) a vinyl crosslinking agent, having a radical polymerizable group and a condensation reactive group that can induce a condensation reaction with the partial condensate of the organosilane.
