CHARGING DEVICE, PROCESS CARTRIDGE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device configured to suppress abnormal image quality caused by defective power feed and poor rotation, using a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The charging device includes a charging roll, having a conductive core and a cylindrical charging layer formed on the conductive core, and if a bearing part which supports each end of the conductive core with at least two tangents and which has an opening and is provided with tangents between the conductive core and the bearing part, closest to the opening, is denoted as A and B, respectively, and if the distance connecting between the tangent A and the tangent B along the circumferential surface of the conductive core, one that is farther from the opening is denoted as L1, and the distance connecting between the tangent A and the tangent B along the inner peripheral surface of the bearing part is denoted as L2, the relation L2/L1>1.1 is holds.
