Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail device simple in structure and excelling in operability and convenience in use. SOLUTION: The handrail device includes a mounting base 3, a rotary support part 2 connected to the mounting base 3 rotatably around a rotation axis in a substantially horizontal or vertical direction, and a handrail body 1 with one end 1a connected to the rotary support part 2. A fitting part 49 of an operating rod 48 disposed in the handrail body 1 can radially penetrate the rotary support part 2 and project forward, and a lock receiving member 5 provided with a plurality of lock holes 52A-52C is disposed between the mounting base 3 and the rotary support part 2. The fitting part 49 of the operating rod 48 is alternatively fitted into the respective lock holes 52A-52C of the lock receiving member 5 to fix the handrail body 1 in its turning position.
