REPRODUCTION DEVICE, REPRODUCTION CONTROL METHOD, PROGRAM, AND DATA PROCESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control reproduction of sound that is likely to overlap between reproduction items, as intended by a content creator. SOLUTION: The reproduction devise has a reproduction item acquisition section to obtain reproduction items associated with video data and audio data, a reproduction section to reproduce the video data and audio data included in the reproduction items obtained by the reproduction item acquisition section, and a control section to control the reproduction by the reproduction section. The control section compares a first sound frame group containing last n sound frames (n is a natural number) of the sound data of the first reproduction item to be reproduced by the reproduction section, with a second sound frame group containing first n sound frames of the sound data of the second reproduction item to be reproduced by the reproduction section after the first reproduction item, and decides, depending on the comparison result, whether to cause the reproduction section to reproduce the sound frame contained in the second sound frame group.
