Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closed loop sensor for a solid object position detector. SOLUTION: The object position detector includes a touch sensor including a plurality of electrodes disposed in a closed loop and configured to capacitively detect an object which gets close to the closed loop. A processor connected to the touch sensor determines a relative movement quantity in a first direction on the closed loop between samples, and gives relative movement information, when the relative movement quantity in the first direction on the closed loop between samples exceeds a predetermined quantity in the direction, as information for a relative movement quantity in a second direction opposite to the first direction.
