APPARATUS FOR TRANSFERRING LOAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow continuous processing of loads and to minimize the time for which an apparatus is idle, waiting for an operator to start unloading of loaded paper. SOLUTION: In the apparatus 100 for transferring a load, a rack 102 is vertically movable between a loading position and a rack transfer position. The rack includes a plurality of rack ribs 104, whose upper surfaces define a loading surface. A cart 106 is horizontally movable between a cart transfer position and a loaded paper unloading position. The cart includes a plurality of cart ribs 108, whose upper surfaces define a pallet surface. The rack ribs 104 and the cart ribs 108 are positioned to intercalate in the respective rack and cart transfer positions. The rack 102 is attached to an elevator system 110 which moves up and down within the apparatus 100. When detecting the need for moving, the elevator system 110 lowers the rack 102 from the loading position to the rack transfer position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
