STROBOSCOPIC DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stroboscopic device capable of yielding a flat and excellent light distribution patten all over the irradiation range by partially eliminating insufficient light quantity. SOLUTION: The stroboscopic device 1 includes a light source 2 emitting electrical flash light; a reflector 3 for reflecting the electrical flash light from the light source 2 toward an object to be irradiated, and a lens 4 for transmitting reflected light L2 reflected by the reflector 3 and direct light L1 from the light source 2, wherein a center part 4a of a surface of the longitudinal section of the lens 4 is planar, and upper and lower ends 4b are surfaces curved toward the back side of an optical axis; a center part of a surface of the cross section of the lens 4 is planar; and the right and left ends are surfaces curved toward the back side of the optical axis.
