BALANCE CORRECTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the axial dimension of a balance correcting device for a rotor, and to remarkably enhance the efficiency of attaching/detaching work of the rotor with respect to its support. SOLUTION: The balance correcting device includes: the support for supporting the rotor 9 rotatably; a cutting device 15 for cutting a part of the rotor 9 supported by the support for balance correction; and a gripping device 17 for gripping one end part 9a of the rotor 9 so that the rotor 9 does not rotate on the occasion of the cutting. The gripping device 17 is movable between a grip preparation position where the one end part 9a is gripped and an evacuation position apart from the grip preparation position, in a cross direction crossing the axial direction of the rotor 9.
