PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator having a storage compartment capable of freezing and storing stored food according to a freezing state by uniformizing a temperature distribution by suppressing temperature fluctuation.SOLUTION: The refrigerator having a freezing compartment door for opening and closing a freezing compartment includes: a first container disposed in the freezing compartment, having a first opening, and storing the food; a first cover member for closing the first opening when the freezing compartment door is closed; a second container having a second opening and receiving the first container; a second cover member for closing the second opening when the freezing compartment door is closed; a first clearance gap formed between the first cover member and the second cover member; a second clearance gap formed between the first container and the second container; a supply opening supplying cold air to the first clearance gap; a cold air return opening formed on a back wall of the second container and communicating with the second clearance gap; and a switching damper formed near the center of the first cover member and adjusting the amount of cold air discharged into the second container.
