Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a uric acid level lowering composition having excellent hypouricemic action, easily and safely takable for a long time without causing side effects and contributing to prevention and amelioration of hyperuricemia.SOLUTION: The uric acid level lowering composition contains an active component comprising an acid-treated residue obtained by hydrolyzing a plant of genus Panax, family Araliaceae in the presence of an aqueous solution of a strong acid and a lower alcohol, adding water to the hydrolyzate and filtering the product. The plant of genus Panax, family Araliaceae is preferably Panax Noto ginseng.
