Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an optically active 3-aminopiperidine-1-carboxylate compound, and to provide an intermediate used for the production method.SOLUTION: The method for producing the optically active compound comprises a process for contacting an optical isomer mixture represented by formula (1) (wherein, R is 1 to 4C alkyl or benzyl) with optically active mandelic acid in the presence of a solvent to deposit a salt represented by formula (2), a process for obtaining the deposited salt, and a process for mixing the obtained salt with an acid or a base.
