Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste asbestos detoxification apparatus not necessitating scaling-up as a whole and capable of well drying crushed waste asbestos.SOLUTION: The waste asbestos detoxification apparatus includes a crusher 20 for crushing thrown-in waste asbestos, a dryer 30 for drying the waste asbestos crushed by the crusher 20 and an induction heating oven 50 for melting a mixed material prepared by mixing a fluxing agent for dropping a melting temperature with the waste asbestos dried by the dryer 30. The dryer 30 has a spiral feeder 32 constituting a feed passage 32a spirally extending in an up and down direction and receiving vibration itself to upward feed the waste asbestos thrown in from a lower throwing-in port 35 toward an upper feed-out port 36 and a sheath heater 33 for heating the waste asbestos fed by the spiral feeder 32.
