Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a booster circuit that facilitates inverting the polarity of high voltage using a low-breakdown voltage element, and to provide a light source device and a liquid crystal display device with such a booster circuit.SOLUTION: The polarity inverting booster circuit 31 carries out the following processing: when transistors Tp1 to Tp4 are selectively turned on, both respective ends of capacitors Cm1 to Cm4 are short-circuited and a first Cockcroft-Walton circuit that boosts the positive voltage of an AC input voltage Vacin to substantially four times and outputs it is formed; and when transistors Tm1 to Tm4 are selectively turned on, both respective ends of capacitors Cp1 to Cp4 are short-circuited and a second Cockcroft-Walton circuit that boosts the negative voltage of the AC input voltage Vacin to substantially four times and outputs it is formed. Thus it is possible to invert the polarity of the AC input voltage Vacin and boots it to substantially four times without complicating the configuration or using a high-breakdown voltage element. |
