Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition suitable for the use in a light-absorbing layer for a display element and a new configuration of the light-absorbing layer suitable for the use in the display element.SOLUTION: The display element comprises the light-absorbing layer including metal nanoparticles in a matrix material. Suitable matrix materials include organic materials, inorganic materials, polymer materials, and combinations thereof. The metal nanoparticle may have various regular or irregular shapes and/or two-dimensional or three-dimensional structures. The metal nanoparticle may have a particle size of about 2 to 20 nm. In some embodiments, the particle size distribution of the nanoparticle does not exceed ±75%. The light-absorbing layer may have a multilayer configuration including two or more individual light-absorbing layers. The light-absorbing layer reduces the reflection of ambient light in the display element. |
