Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and rapidly generate color correction information for correcting an impact of environmental light even when a projection surface is colored.SOLUTION: An image is projected and displayed on a screen by a projection optical system 108, and the color on the screen is measured by a sensor part 130. Correction information according to the color on the projection surface acquired based on the result of the measurement by the sensor part 130 when a white color image is projected is acquired, while color correction information corresponding to the environmental light acquired based on the result of the measurement by the sensor part 130 when an image that has been acquired by correcting a gray image different from the white image according to the correction information is projected is acquired. An image corrected by the correction information and the color correction information is projected and displayed.
