Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen disposal device of a reactor containment vessel capable of improving disposal capacity of hydrogen even if released gas includes radioactive iodine.SOLUTION: Gas containing hydrogen, oxygen, radioactive iodine, and vapor released into the reactor containment vessel 3 in a loss-of-coolant accident is introduced into a condenser 12 and the condenser 12 condenses the vapor. Hydrogen contained in gas that is exhausted from the condenser 12 and is supplied to a high-temperature hydrogen oxidizing device 13 is oxidized by reacting with oxygen to become vapor by action of oxidized copper 14 within the hydrogen oxidizing device 13. A control unit 28 decreases a rotational speed of a blower 11 (or stops the blower 11) when a measurement value of a dose inputted from a radiation measuring device 27 exceeds a set value. Therefore, cuprous iodide generated by reaction between radioactive iodine and the oxidized copper 14 becomes metallic copper. By supplying oxygen into the hydrogen oxidizing device 13, the metallic copper is reproduced into the oxidized copper 14. |
