OIL SCRAPING RING FOR PISTON ROD, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND STUFFING BOX WITH THE OIL SCRAPING RING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil scraping ring for a piston rod used in a large sized two cycle diesel engine for a vessel, capable of reducing a consumed amount of oil and prolonging the service life by improvement of followability to a piston rod and high accuracy machining, and exhibiting excellent maintenance performance, and a method for manufacturing the same, and a stuffing box with the oil scraping ring.SOLUTION: A body of the oil scraping ring body is divided into at least two in a circumferential direction, and one rail part is provided in an inner peripheral side axial center part, and a coil spring storage groove is provided in an outer peripheral side axial center part, and a plurality of oil through grooves are provided on only one side of upper and lower side surfaces, and thus, the followability of the oil scraping ring is improved. In end mill machining of the oil through groove, distortion or introduction of internal stress is suppressed as much as possible by setting a machining axis and a machining direction parallel to an axis of the oil scraping ring, and the highly accurate oil scraping ring can be achieved.
