HONING STONE BASE FOR HONING HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide honing stone bases for a honing head with which honing stones can follow the internal shape of a part not parallel with the axial direction also in addition to maintaining the surface pressure of the honing stones substantially constant.SOLUTION: A plurality of the honing stone bases 12 for the honing head equipped with the honing stones 15 on the outer side thereof are mounted to the holder 11 of the honing head 10 so as to be expandable in the radial direction. Each honing stone base 12 is divided into a support section 13 located on the inner side in the radial direction, and a honing stone section 14 having the honing stone 15 and located on the outer side in the radial direction. The honing stone section 14 is rockably mounted on the support section 13 through one or more coil springs 16 arranged at intervals in the axial direction of the holder 11.
