Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage-treating device which does not diffuse odor in a room even if garbage is thrown in during drying.SOLUTION: The garbage-treating device includes: a garbage treatment container 21 in which garbage is accommodated; a throwing-in lid 32 for opening and closing the garbage treatment container 21 to throw the garbage in the container 21; an adsorption and odor-removal part 36 which removes odor components, which are generated from the garbage, by adsorption; a sucking passage 39 which connects the garbage treatment container 21 with the upstream of the adsorption and odor-removal part 36; a gas-discharging passage 41 which connects the downstream of the adsorption and odor-removal part 36 with the outside; and a sucking means 44 which is provided in the gas-discharging passage 41 and discharges gas to the outside. The sucking means 44 begins sucking from the garbage treatment container 21 to the sucking passage 39 in response to an opening action by the throwing-in lid 32.
