PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner having a compact, lightweight, and highly reliable dust removal means by simplifying a dust removal structure, eliminating the need of a sealing structure, and suppressing resistance in ventilation.SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: an electric blower arranged inside a body; and a dust collecting part removably arranged inside the body, so as to catch the dust from a suction port, which is sucked by negative pressure generated by the electric blower. The dust collecting part includes: a dust collecting chamber having a substantially recessed shape with one surface opened therein, so as to store the dust; and a main filter to be attached to cover the dust collecting chamber, so as to filter fine dust. A pre-filter, whose one end is turnably pivoted by a main filter, so as to filter the coarse dust, and urging means for giving urging force to the pre-filter are arranged on a surface side opposing to the dust collecting chamber of the main filter. The pre-filter is urged in a separating direction from the main filter.
