A voltage VH having a voltage value setting a reading potential be lower than the potential of the bottom of a pixel potential well and higher than the potential of the bottom of a CCD potential well is applied to the reading electrodes 321, 322, and a voltage VL having a voltage value setting the potential higher than the potential of the bottom of the pixel potential well is applied to the reading electrode 323, thereby forming a potential gradient having a potential difference and a short moving distance. |
