INDIVIDUAL-ITEM INFORMATION MANAGEMENT DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reading efficiency by making readable only the electronic tags that are required to be read.SOLUTION: When components are assembled into an assembled product, a decrease in reading efficiency is prevented from being deteriorated by reading the electronic tags of the parts and the assembled product, registering their configuration information, and placing read restriction on the electronic tags of the parts. For this purpose, manufacturing instruction information used for assembling the parts into the assembled product, is used so as to place read restriction only on the electronic tags of the parts. When the part of the assembled product is replaced, the electronic tags of the assembled product are read, read restriction is removed from the part to be detached from the assembled product to read the electronic tag of the new part, read restriction is placed, and the configuration information is updated. An invalid part replacement is detected by comparing the configuration information with the configuration information before the replacement. When the assembled product is discarded, the electronic tags of the assembled product are read, read restriction is placed and the configuration information associated with the assembled product is deleted.
