MAGNETIC DETECTION DEVICE AND METHOD OF TESTING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic detection device capable of simply detecting especially whether an output offset is within an allowable predetermined range, and to provide a method of testing the magnetic detection device.SOLUTION: In a bridge circuit formed by connecting a plurality of magnetic detection elements, a first and second resistors 25 and 26 are connected between an output unit a1 provided on the input terminal Vdd side of one series circuit and an output unit a2 provided on its ground terminal GND side, and between an output unit a3 provided on the input terminal Vdd side of the other series circuit and an output unit a4 provided on its ground terminal GND side. To each of the first and second resistors 25 and 26, a resistor for tests 33 or 34 is connected in parallel. Then, an output test is performed, and if a low signal is output, the magnetic detection device is determined as a conforming item, and if a high signal is output, the magnetic detection device is determined as a nonconforming item. After the finish of the output test, the resistors 33 and 34 for tests are cut off electrically.
