Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for mitigating a fuel system transient.SOLUTION: The present invention takes the form of a method (600) that may reduce the effect of a transient of a fuel system (160). Essentially, an embodiment of the present invention incorporates a pressure control cell (PCC) (240) with the fuel system. The PCC (240) may be considered an additional volume (205) that removes some of the fuel remaining in the fuel system (160) during a transient event. During the transient event, when a rapid reduction of fuel is required for a fuel circuit (207, 217), fuel is allowed to exit a manifold (215, 220) of the fuel system (160) and enter the PCC (240). This fuel may be stored within the PCC (240) and may no longer be available to a combustion can (120). A benefit may be a reduced possibility of an undesired increase in rotor speed, and a lean blowout event.
