Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matrix converter circuit which stabilize a current at motor drive and also is reliable without causing short-circuit.SOLUTION: The three-phase matrix converter circuit directly converts a single-phase AC power source 1 into AC voltage of a specified frequency, and supplies it to winding of a three-phase motor 3. The three-phase matrix motor includes: a plurality of bidirectional switches which have two gate inputs corresponding to a direction of current application, are connected in series between terminals of the single phase AC power source 1, and are provided for each phase; a voltage determination means 4 which determines a relation of the voltage between the terminals of the single-phase AC power source 1; and a control means 5 which controls conduction of the plurality of the bidirectional switches so as to circulate currents between the three-phase motor 3 and the circuit, according to the relation of the voltage determined by the voltage determination means 4.
