PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility of an enlarged and displayed live view image.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an imaging optical system constituted of a plurality of lenses; an imaging element which captures a subject image formed by the imaging optical system; a display portion which displays an image based on an image signal outputted from the imaging element; a vibration detection portion which outputs a detection signal of a vibration in response to detection of the vibration; an optical blur correction portion which executes optical blur correction, which is performed by moving at least one of one lens of the plurality of lenses and the imaging element in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis of the imaging optical system, on the basis of a signal component of the detection signal outputted from the vibration detection portion; and an electronic blur correction portion which corrects a signal component remaining upon the optical blur correction, out of the signal component of the detection signal by executing electronic blur correction for blur correction of the image signal outputted from the imaging element with respect to the image signal obtained during the execution of the optical blur correction.
