PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inter-board connection device allowing for an easy visual check of an engagement condition, causing no connector breakage, and providing a stable connection.SOLUTION: In the inter-board connection device 10 including boards 50, 90, and a plug 60 and a receptacle 20 having contacts 24, 64, and housings 22, 62, guide pins 32 projecting from an engagement surface are provided near both ends in a longitudinal direction of the plug 60 or the receptacle 20, guide holes 72 to receive the guide pins 32 are provided at positions corresponding to the guide pins 32 near both ends in a longitudinal direction of the plug 60 or the receptacle 20, the boards 50, 90 to be attached with the receptacle 20 or the plug 60 provided with the guide holes 72 are provided with board guide holes 94 to receive the guide pins 32 at positions corresponding to the guide holes 72, and an appropriate engagement is confirmed by the guide pins 32 being in predetermined positions at the time of engagement between the plug 60 and the receptacle 20.
