PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operation quality of a disk device by suppressing the generation of abnormal sound due to the chattering phenomenon of a disk tray by preventing the disk tray in the middle of moving in/out from becoming unstable in posture thereby stabilizing the posture.SOLUTION: A dust proof cover 60 covers the open upper surface of a casing 10. A resin spring 55 made of a leaf spring having a both ends supported structure is provided in a part behind the position G of the center of gravity of the disk tray 50. The resin spring 55 has elastic strength for permitting the disk tray 50 to take a forward descending posture when the position G of the center of gravity of the disk tray 50 reaches a nearest position before/behind the front end 21 of a guide rail 20. The dust proof cover 60 includes an escape recess 62 for returning the resin spring 55 to an unloaded state when the disk tray 50 reaches a retreat position.
