SAFETY STRUCTURE OF STEAM GENERATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent short-circuiting of electrical components attached to a fitting even when hot water leaks from between a resin cover section and the metallic fitting. SOLUTION: The recessed fitting 40 provided with a thermistor 42 and a thermostat 43 has a horizontal flange 44, and a rib 45 formed by bending a tip section of the flange 44 upward. The fitting 40 is disposed on a mounting opening 38 formed on a cover section 33 of a pot 32 from an upper side through a metallic circular member 46, and a flange of the circular member 46 and a flange 44 of the fitting 40 are overlapped and mounted on the cover section 33 by screws 47. Thus the hot water can be blocked by the rib 45 extending higher than the flange 44 on a mounting face, even when the hot water in the pot 32 leaks from a clearance gap between the resin cover section 33 and the metallic circular member 46, and prevented from flowing into the fitting 40 having the recessed section. As a result, the short-circuiting of the thermostat 43 mounted on a bottom section of the fitting 40 can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
