Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water shut-out method which copes with a water shut-out portion in a complicated shape and having excellent water shut-out performance. SOLUTION: The water shut-out method is a method for shutting off water in an annular water shut-out portion formed between the opposite surfaces of a structure having a through-hole and a disposition member B disposed in the through-hole. After a rod-shaped foamed rubber material 1 containing acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber is disposed on the outer circumferential surface of the disposition member B in an annular shape using a single rod or two or more combined rods, the disposition member B is disposed in the through-hole of the structure. The foamed rubber material 1 disposed on the outer circumferential surface of the disposition member B is compressed by the inner surface of the through-hole and the opposite outer circumferential surface of the disposition member B to integrate the connection between the foamed rubber materials 1 through compression for the formation of a sealing material A, whereby the annular water shut-out portion is shut off from water.
